Wyndmoor Hills Health Care & Rehab Center offers comprehensive subacute rehabilitation services for those who suffer from a variety of medically complex disorders including, stroke and cerebrovascular disease, cardiac disorders, post-operative recovery and wound care. Patients needing some post-hospital (or postacute) rehabilitation stay with us for an average of 14 days, and are safely discharged home to their community.

The Interdisciplinary Team

Our interdisciplinary team, includes board certified physicians, RN case managers, specially trained social workers, registered dieticians, psychotherapists and psychologists. The team keeps families and concerned parties updated and actively involved with the care plan through weekly progress reports.

Families appreciate our attention to detail regarding patients' clinical care and their emotional well-being. Recreational therapy programs engage patients in activities that spark their interest and encourage voluntary participation. Thanks to our dedicated Subacute Unit, we are able to facilitate programs tailored to the needs of our younger, short-term patients, as well as our long-term residents.

Rehabilitation Services

The skilled nursing program at Wyndmoor Hills Health Care & Rehab Center offers our patients high caliber medical, nursing and therapeutic interventions including I.V. therapy, enteral feeding, wound care, pain management, and education. Patients, families and their insurers are provided with an extremely cost-efficient alternative to long-term hospitalization.

Wyndmoor Hills’ dedicated staff of trained, licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists provide all the necessary care to bring each patient to his or her highest level of physical and emotional well-being.

In continuing the Wyndmoor Hills philosophy of independence, residents are reviewed to ensure that each receives optimum outcomes as safely and quickly as possible. Wyndmoor Hills Health Care & Rehab Center is the only area facility providing rehab therapy 7 days a week.

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is designed to increase individual strength, range of motion and cognitive-perceptual motor skills. Patients are placed in a program to increase their functionality and enhance their quality of life.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy plays a significant role in enhancing independent functioning for our residents. These specialists analyze, design and adapt specific tasks or equipment to maximize performance.

Speech and Language Pathology

Our Speech and Language Pathologists carefully review the patient's ability to speak and swallow. There are specific aides and guides that can be taught to improve communication skills following an illness or injury.
